No hype, just data.
A series of 50 physiological tests built to see how you move - and how to move better. Nowhere in Marbella or Sotogrande can you get this detail of analysis.
Is it for athletes? For sure. Is it for regular PT clients? Certainly. Is it for people who just wanna 'be fit'? It should be.
My Performance Testing is for everyone, from youth athletes (12 years +), all the way up to seniors.

We test mobility in all the major joints and structures - spine, neck, shoulders, hip, knee, ankle.
We test flexibilty in all the major muscle groups - chest, back, hamstrings, quads, biceps, triceps.
We test stability in all the muscle groups that control your movement - core, hips, legs, glutes, back.
We test strength in every major muscle group - chest, shoulders, back, hips, legs and core.
And finally, we test for power - how explosive are you?
What's the point? To be able to use our body to it's full capacity. Not 50-70%. We want to use 100% of our strength, speed, power and ability.
If you are training for a specific sport, for life, to look good, or whatever it is, you will have certain imbalances within your structure. I've not met anyone who hasn't.
If we have imbalances, we are automatically starting at a disadvantage. A small imbalance in one muscle? Maybe you're now working at 90% capacity. An imbalance in mulitple areas or one that's getting worse? Maybe you're already down to 60% capacity.
Say your left hip and glute muscles are not as strong as your right. And let's say Squats are part of your plan - gotta get those glutes looking tight, right? Your right side hip, glutes and quads will be working more than the left. 5%, 10%, 20%, who knows.
So what? Over time, that side becomes stronger and stronger, and tighter and tighter. The other side becomes weaker and weaker, leading to muscle-size difference, a higher potential for injuries in the hips, knees, back and ankle, as well as postural changes and walking pattern (gait) differences.
Let's say your right-side hip has gotten tight because of this invisible, unknown problem. And let's say you have a tight neck muscle that never seems to disappear. They are linked. The body is kinetically linked, meaning undiagnosed tension in one area can present itself in another area of the body.
Let's say your training for a sport. Tennis. Your left oblique (side of the stomach area) is weaker than your right. Your power and movement when hitting forehands (rotating left) will not be optimum. You're working at 80% already, instead of 100%. Not to mention the possible effects on the spine, posture and movement from this imbalance. And the power you're leaving on the table? Wow. If both sides of your body are firing at 100%, your power will be optimal.
Some people fatigue quickly when they do cardio in the gym. Are your breathing mechanics firing right to enable your oxygen to be used efficiently? Is your diaphragm - the breathing muscle - strong enough for the demands you place on it? We test for this too.
You're a long distance runner who enjoys 10k's and marathons? But your left-side thigh, calf and hip are weak. Your right side will compensate and in-time, most likely break down, often presented as foot or knee pain. The straw that broke the camels back. With a Performance Test, you would have known this, adapted your gym training to fix any issues and be hitting PB's, and running pain free for years to come.
Why haven't you heard of this kind of thing before? Because, as far as I'm aware, in my 15+ years as a trainer, working alongside other trainers, no-one is checking up to see how the client moves, at a high level of detail. They are thrown in at the deep end of training, sink or swim, give me your money. You know the term, "f*ck around and find out"?, this is essentailly how most people will find out if they have imbalances.
Once we have completed your Performance Testing, we will set about to guide you on how to develope any weakness or tension areas. This will be through specific exercises, movements and in some cases, sports therapy massage techniques.
Be proactive. Look towards longevity in your health and fitness. Set PB's. Get better. Excel at your sport, at your training, at life. Operate at 100% of your capacity.
Performance Testing is done in-gym only. I offer this in Elite Gym, San Pedro, Marbella, and in One4One fitness centre, in Sotogrande Port. Testing takes 75-90 minutes and is done with the client in gym-clothing. Exercises are performed to test strength and power, so suitable footwear is required too. Other testing is carried out on a therapy table and on mats. Gym entry is included in the fee.
To book your Performance Testing, please email iaingrey1@gmail.com or contact me via this website. All prices are available on the pricing page.
